Owner and Executive Chef
Aaron is the owner and executive chef of Horswood Catering. With decades of experience, he started his career at the age of 14 as a dishwasher, an without schooling, worked his way up the ranks to achieve his first executive chef position at 26 in Scottsdale, AZ. Aaron is a third generation chef learning Mexican cuisine from his grandmother. He hit his stride at Emilios learning from his mentor, Chef Ray Dilullo, learning Italian cuisine. Chef has a saying "You don't have to physically travel to learn food". Chef's incredible and relentless work ethic can be accredited to his broad understanding of food and its culture. After opening, and operating many successful restaurants in the valley, it was time for his vision to come to fruition. After starting the business 12 years ago, Aaron has created thousands of original and eclectic menus fitting each customers vision for their event. Never conforming, and constantly evolving, you will still find Aaron studying and creating something incredible.
If you don't find Aaron in the kitchen, he will be on the water fly fishing or somewhere in the Idaho mountains. If he's not there, he's acting like a food trying to get his granddaughter to giggle.
